Call for TSA Volunteers: Doors Open – Walking Tour Support

Looking to grow your network and meet like-minded folks, while lending your skills to support one of the TSA’s largest public outreach programs? Come join us as a Volunteer supporting our Walking Tours during Doors Open Toronto 2024!

Each year, in partnership with the City of Toronto, the TSA develops and leads a series of free walking tours as part of the Doors Open weekend, helping the public discover the stories behind our city’s buildings and landscapes. 

Our Walking Tour Support Volunteers for Doors Open provide enthusiastic support for this weekend of Walking Tours, helping with logistics throughout the day, supporting the Tour Guide, greeting visitors, and answering questions from the public. They play a pivotal role in helping us manage crowds and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. TSA Volunteers are reliable, out-going, and resourceful, and they are passionate about architecture and enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life.

What to expect?

TSA Walking Tour Support Volunteers joining us for Doors Open commit to helping out at our tour site (in downtown Toronto) for one full-day (approx. 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM) during the Doors Open weekend (May 25-26, 2024). We will hold a mandatory 1-hour orientation session for all TSA volunteers joining us for Doors Open on April 24. New volunteers will also be required to complete a short online course on accessible customer service (30-40 minutes).
