Call for Submissions: Figures of Architecture

Figures of Architecture is a student design competition on climate resilience and adaptation, culminating in a public exhibition at DesignTO Festival 2027. The competition asks students to look closer at the things that make architecture possible: the materials, assemblies, and methods that are often concealed, overlooked, or misunderstood once a building is complete. Students are challenged to bring these typically unseen “figures of architecture” into focus and reconsider their role through the lens of climate resilience and adaptation.

Free entry before November 15, 2026 ($10 CAD after). Submissions close November 22, 2026.
