Call for TSA Volunteers: Doors Open – Tours Support Volunteers

Looking to grow your network and meet like-minded folks, while lending your skills to support one of the TSA’s largest public outreach programs? Come join us as a Volunteer supporting our Walking Tours during Doors Open Toronto 2023!

Each year, in partnership with the City of Toronto, the TSA develops and leads a series of free walking tours as part of the Doors Open weekend, helping the public discover the stories behind our city’s buildings and landscapes.

Our Walking Tour Support Volunteers for Doors Open provide enthusiastic support for this weekend of Walking Tours, helping with logistics throughout the day, supporting the Tour Guide, greeting visitors, and answering questions from the public. They play a pivotal role in helping us manage crowds and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. TSA Doors Open Volunteers are reliable, out-going, and resourceful. They are passionate about architecture and enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life.

What to expect?
TSA Doors Open Walking Tour Support Volunteers commit to helping out at our tour site (in the Entertainment District) for either a half day or one full-day (9:30 AM – 5:30 PM) during the Doors Open weekend (May 27-28, 2023). They will assist with logistics and check-in, as well as get the opportunity to join in one of the tours with an experienced Tour Guide. New volunteers will be asked to complete a short online course on accessible customer service (30-40 minutes) prior to the Doors Open weekend. After Doors Open, volunteers will be asked to provide feedback on their experience and what can be improved in future years.
