ADFF Toronto 2025: Tracing Light
Renzo Piano once said, “Light is not just something that allows us to see. It is a material that gives form, emotion, and life to architecture.” Tracing Light (2024) invites us to contemplate this mysterious and fundamental force that shapes our world and our built environment.
For director Thomas Riedelsheimer, light is both a medium and a lifelong obsession. From the birth of stars to the molecular dance of life, light reveals the universe’s hidden architecture. The film blends art and science as it follows visionaries in both fields who seek to understand and sculpt light. Visually striking and thought-provoking, this film expresses the language of architecture, sensation, and cinema itself.
About the Architecture and Design Film Festival
