Maria Denegri

Maria is a Partner in Denegri Bessai Studio, an architecture and design studio known for its commitment to thoughtfully designed objects and spaces, as well as to prototyping, fabrication and experimentation. Maria’s portfolio includes numerous residential projects, from single family homes to multi-residential, renovations to new builds. Maria is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, at the John H Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, where she teaches both graduate and undergraduate studios.
In 2012, Maria joined the TSA Executive and took a leading role in the coordination of our Urban Affair Forums. She served as Vice-Chair from 2014 to 2016, and in 2017 was elected Chair.
I’m very passionate about promoting the value of good design and the role of architect to the public. I find these values shared with the TSA, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute. I enjoy working on the initiatives with like minded executive members and also engaging with the members and other professionals at the events – it’s a great way to stay connected with the community.
