With a background in film and advertising, Kurtis is an Intern Architect with a strong interest in sustainability and public education. Before pursuing architecture, he founded an award-winning agency, leading film productions, national advertising campaigns, and major brand overhauls.
Committed to making the profession more inclusive, Kurtis began volunteering with the TSA in 2019 when he co-led the organization’s first TSA Pride—an initiative he continues to champion today. His involvement has since expanded to include walking tours, virtual programs, technical lectures, and other special projects, blending his expertise in communications with his architectural knowledge. Today, Kurtis focuses on mobilizing architectural knowledge for public audiences, believing that the more people engage with architecture, the better our built environment will become.
