Emad is a Senior Associate at GBCA (Goldsmith Borgal & Company Ltd. Architects). He assists GBCA’s clients with their development applications, providing advice and consultancy on matters related to heritage conservation, and assists clients with heritage approvals throughout all stages of a project (planning, design and construction). He is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), where he sits on the Advocacy Committee, and the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). He is fully fluent in French and English.
Emad first got involved in the TSA as a walking tours tour guide in 2014, a volunteer role he continues to this day. In 2022, Emad accepted the position of Initiative Co-Lead for the Walking Tours program, taking a more active role in shaping the future of this public-facing initiative.
I had experience with giving architectural walking tours in Montreal, and wanted to continue doing them in Toronto. I saw an opportunity with the TSA, and took it!
