Toronto-New York: "The Missing Middle" Panel Discussion

The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto invites members of the Toronto Society of Architects to join for a Club Night exploring the topic of “The Missing Middle”. The evening will include a dinner followed by a panel discussion. 10 spots have been reserved for TSA members on a first-come, first-served basis. Description

Today we hear about idea of “The Missing Middle” – dense urban housing as an alternative to residential towers to help address the housing crisis in North America and yet this housing has been an ongoing idea since the 1970’s in both Toronto and New York City. Mary Elizabeth Rusz, FAIA, has brought together a panel of leading experts in architecture, planning and urban design from both cities to explore the latest strategies for Mid-Rise and Affordable Housing and to be moderated by Alex Bozikovic, the architecture critic for The Globe and Mail.
