Discussion Topic: Chapter 3.10 – Appendix A : Differences between Factual and Expert Witness
We’ll discuss the two principal circumstances in which an architect may be called upon to testify at a trial or hearing. In the first scenario, the architect acts as a factual witness for a project they have provided services for. In the second scenario, the architect serves as an independent expert witness for a project they are entirely independent from and previously uninvolved with. This appendix outlines the proper conduct for architects in both roles.
