Public Talk - Petal & Stone: A Mural in Full Bloom
Petal and Stone is the inaugural commission for a new rotating Gardiner Wallworks series, and will remain in place for 2 years. To celebrate the completion of this mural, the Bentway and The Creative Communities Commons (CCC) at the University of Toronto’s School of Cities are hosting a free, public talk on the role murals play in driving urban transformation. The conversation will feature Petal and Stone artist Rebecca Munce, The Bentway’s Co-executive Director Ilana Altman, and Netanel Portier of Mural Arts in Philadelphia, an organization that has garnered the city the title of “mural capital of the world.” The talk will take place on November 20th from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Bentway Studio (55 Fort York Blvd).
