IPLAN: A Bridge Training Program for International Architectural Professionals

IPLAN EMPLOYMENT helps you build on your international education and work experience by gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully integrate into the architectural workplace in Ontario. Delivered over 14 weeks at Toronto Metropolitan University and JVS Toronto, this program’s unique blend of academic and workplace training will prepare you for your career in architecture.

 

THIS 14-WEEK PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • Three architectural courses at Toronto Metropolitan University
  • Sector-specifi c employment workshops at JVS Toronto
  • Licensing information from the Ontario Association of Architects
  • Mentoring, internships and work placements
  • Job search coaching and support

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Open to Permanent Residents, Canadian Citizens, Convention Refugees, Refugee Claimants, CUAET holders
  • High level of English-language profi ciency (CLB 7/8). Enhanced language training is available to applicants, if needed, prior to starting the program
  • Undergraduate degree in architecture from a university outside Canada. Applicants with an equivalent degree in a related fi eld may also be considered
  • At least two years of work experience in architecture or a related fi eld (paid or voluntary) obtained outside Canada

 


 

Please note the course is free, however participants are expected to cover the course fees for the 3 TMU credit courses.
