Imagining My Sustainable Community Art Camp
Imagining My Sustainable Community Summer Art Camp empowers students (ages 11-14) with an interest in art, design, architecture, and engineering to reimagine the future of Toronto’s waterfront neighbourhood.
In this week-long camp, students will be immersed in a creative multimedia studio experience led by artists and architectural designers to learn about climate art, architectural model-making, and sustainable communities. Students will be introduced to principles of architecture through demonstrations of scaled model-making and multiple art practices that students will use in their final pieces.
Through an innovative exploration of the creative process and climate change solutions, students will utilize the 9 Pillars of Sustainability to imagine, design, and model their own unique projects. This experiential camp will equip students with STEM+ART skills and inspire revolutionary ideas for building sustainable communities.
