City of Toronto Survey: Committee of Adjustment

This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the City of Toronto’s Committee of Adjustment Purpose Statement and Service Charter!

In 2022, the City retained KPMG to conduct a review of the Committee of Adjustment (CoA) in order to improve the effective participation of the public and applicants in the public hearing process. The review culminated in a final report with 15 recommendations and an implementation plan, which went before the Planning and Housing Committee in February 2023 as Item 2023.PH2.5.

This survey contains a draft Purpose Statement and Service Charter for your review and comment. Answers to the survey are anonymous and will help to further refine this document to provide a shared understanding of the purpose of the Committee of Adjustment and the services it provides. The survey will be live from April 3 to April 25 at 5:00 p.m.

Please check back on their webpage the week of May 5 to May 19 to review a refined statement for further comment.

Once finalized, the Committee of Adjustment Purpose Statement and Service Charter will serve as a document to provide a shared understanding of the Committee of Adjustment and be integrated into existing and new communication and education materials.
