Call for TSA Volunteers: Paper City Facilitators
Have experience working with kids and want to inspire the next generation of city-builders? Come join us as a Facilitator for our Paper City activation during this year’s Doors Open Toronto!
Now in its second year, Paper City invites kids and their families to test their architectural creativity by designing and building a part of TSA Paper City. Kids will have the opportunity to fold, colour, stack and transform simple geometric shapes into their dream creations and then add them to an ever-growing paper metropolis.
Paper City Facilitators support the program on-site at City Hall helping with the implementation of the program and logistics throughout the day, including greeting visitors, helping the kids with their creations, keeping track of supplies and attendance, setting up/cleaning up, and helping to answer questions about architecture and the TSA in general. TSA Volunteers for this program are reliable and outgoing team players who enjoy working with children and getting crafty! All supplies for the event will be provided along with detailed instructions. Previous experience working with kids would be great, but is not required.
What to expect?
Facilitators are expected to support this activity for one full-day shift (approx. 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM) during the Doors Open weekend (May 24-25, 2025). We will hold a mandatory half-day orientation session on Saturday, May 10. New volunteers will also be required to complete a short online course on accessible customer service (30-40 minutes).
