Last Wednesday was an evening full of joy, gratitude and great conversations as we celebrated at our annual Summer Appreciation Party, a special event to say thank you to the many volunteers, sponsors, and partners that make all of our work possible.
Volunteerism and community are at the heart of everything we do. In fact, our founding objective set back in 1888 was “to promote good fellowship among the members of the profession by social intercourse.” So we take great pride every year in making sure to say thank you to those who help build our community the best way we know how: with food, drinks and good company. In what was our biggest Summer Appreciation Party yet, last week’s gathering brought together 130 attendees including Past-Chairs, new volunteers, recurring sponsors, and first-year partners–all of whom have been involved in at least one of our initiatives in the past year.
We are so grateful to each and every individual who contributes their skills, talent, knowledge and time to making so much of our diverse programming possible, and humbled by the support of so many partners and sponsors across the community.
