Bringing people together and building community has always been at the heart of the TSA, and no initiative does this better than TSA CONNECT.
What began back in 2018 as a one-off event for internationally trained architectural professionals has grown into a year-round structured networking series that welcomes students, newcomers and emerging practitioners for evenings of sharing, mentorship and community. And while the themes and featured guests are always changing, all our sessions are underpinned by a common goal of facilitating connections and making our industry more welcoming to all.
This year we were able to host four different sessions, three in-person and one virtual, welcoming 380 attendees and exploring a wide variety of topics: from how to put your best foot forward when applying to a job, to career and licensing paths available to newcomers, and the value of volunteering within your community. None of this would have been possible without our amazing featured guests, a diverse group of over 60 individuals from across the architecture and design community who generously shared their unique journeys, insights and advice with attendees. Thank you for sharing your stories and being part of our community!
In addition to our featured guests and attendees, we also want to extend a big thank to our event volunteers and TSA staff for the smooth running of this fast-paced program, as well as to Arcadis | IBI Group, our 2023 Program Sponsor, for their generous financial support.
So what’s in store for 2024? There will certainly be more TSA CONNECT sessions coming your way (stay tuned to our events page for the official announcements), but we are also starting preparations for our first portfolio and resume clinic.
