TMU Architectural Science Summer Camps 2026

Toronto Metropolitan University Department of Architectural Science presents this week-long camp for campers looking to unleash their creativity. Campers learn from some of the top Architectural Science students at Toronto Metropolitan and participate in innovative and engaging team and individual exercises.

Each week’s program culminates in a distinct take-home project that campers develop and take home on the final day of the week.

Camp days comprise an even balance of Architecture programming and physically active Camp games, so your camper goes home each day having nurtured both their body and brain.

The curriculum for Architecture Camp is developed by Prof. Vince Hui, who is a past recipient of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teacher Award.

Programs

Home Sweet Home (Ages 9-13)

• Activities include creating book nooks, building structures out of Cereal, and working in teams to build inflatable houses.

Make or Break (Ages 9-13)

• Activities include building chairs, creating an interactive wall, and working in teams to build a cardboard bridge.

Digital Creativity (Ages 10-16)

• Campers learn the fundamentals of 2D graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, through a range of creative projects, including:
  • Photo editing and creating montages
  • Vector illustration and graphic design
  • Digital publishing
  • Layout poster design
  • Laser cutting and raster burning

• Senior campers (ages 15-16) will have the opportunity to focus on their specific interests by developing personal portfolios. Camp staff will help senior campers formulate a portfolio that is tailored towards what they are passionate about.

Registration closes three (3) business days before the start of a session, OR when that program is full.
