HRAI Technical Course: Heat Pump Fundamentals for Property Owners and Developers
Toronto Hydro, in collaboration with Toronto 2030 District, ASHRAE Toronto, and HRAI, is proud to once again offer the Heat Pump Fundamentals training series. Now in its fourth edition, this program continues to support the mid-tier commercial building sector (B and C Class buildings) by building knowledge around the electrification and decarbonization of heating systems.
What you will learn
Participants will gain insights into:
- The benefits of electrifying heating systems.
- Applications of heat pump technology for mid-tier commercial buildings.
- Managing HVAC energy usage effectively to reduce Scope 1 GHG emissions.
- Driving asset value through future-proofing building systems.
This course provides Property Owners, Developers, and Asset Managers with essential knowledge on using heat pumps to support decarbonization in commercial buildings, focusing on Class B and C properties, business case development, and basic technical design considerations for operational management. These buildings, often older and in need of efficiency upgrades, offer significant potential for energy and carbon reduction.
The course is being held in-person and pre-registration is required.
A $20 charge will be applied at the time of registration. The fee will be reimbursed with confirmation of your attendance.
