Urban Minds + BAIDA – Stepping Stones Workshop
Sign up for Stepping Stones, a free, two-day workshop for Black students in Toronto interested in architecture, interior design, and urban planning!
Hosted by Black Architects and Interior Designers Association Canada (BAIDA) and Urban Minds, Stepping Stones is open to Black students in grade 9-12 studying at participating TDSB schools (see list below).
What you’ll do and learn at Stepping Stones:
– Find out more about post-secondary education and career paths in architecture, interior design, and urban planning
– Receive mentorship and guidance from industry professionals on course selection, university/college admissions, and portfolio development
– Participate in fun, creative activities that will help you learn more about design and the environment around us
– Have deep, engaging conversations with peers and mentors about creating inclusive and equitable spaces and communities
All participants will be eligible to gain up to 12 community service hours through participating in this workshop! Free lunch will be provided on both days.
The last day to sign up is Friday, October 13th. We will accept 30 students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
