Wood at Work’s fourth annual conference will bring together global leaders in conservation, architecture, urbanism, and industry and explore today’s most advanced ideas around wood. Toronto has more mass timber projects underway than any other city in North America, and a history of world-leading urban forestry program. Event highlights include:
- Bus tour of timber architecture and forest innovations in and around the city
- Hands-on activities and live woodworking demos
- Cutting-edge research on wood technology, engineering, policy, and procurement
- Discussions linking wood to urbanization, climate change, and forest conservation
- Lectures by authors and artists on the role of wood in culture and craftsmanship
- Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) continuing education credits (bus tour: 5 hrs, unstructured; keynotes & conference: 6hrs, structured)
