Our exciting exploration will have to wait! Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the T3 Bayside virtual tour has been postponed. A new date for the tour in August/September will be announced as soon as details are confirmed.

You won’t need your hard hat for this under-construction experience!

On Tuesday, July 26 at 3:30 PM, join us on Instagram Live for our first ever under construction virtual tour as we take a site walkthrough of T3 Bayside—a 10-storey mass-timber office building rising in Toronto’s East Bayfront neighbourhood and set to be the tallest mass-timber office building in North America.

During this virtual experience, Matthias Altwicker of 3XN and Ted DuArte of WZMH will take us through this exciting construction site and share the stories behind its design and construction. The tour will end with a moderated Q&A session where the team will answer any questions you might have!

Excited to join us? The tour will be held live on the TSA Instagram account, so make sure to follow us so you don’t miss out on this unique opportunity.

About the Building

“Canada, with its great forests, seems a natural place to build the tallest timber office building in North America and we are excited to be part of this development. The wooden structure will be a prominent part of the design and provide a warm tactile environment for the tenants that doesn’t compromise sustainability. The flexible layout will be able to meet the diverse needs of the users and bring people together.”

– Jens Holm, Partner in Charge
3XN North America

Designed by 3XN, with WZMH as architect of record, Eastern Construction as GC, and developed by Hines, T3 Bayside is part of a next-generation of mass-timber, tall-wood buildings that are rising along Toronto’s waterfront. The complex features cross-laminated timber with wood sourced from sustainably managed forests in Quebec. Its use of wood instead of standard building materials like steel and concrete, means T3 Bayside will store or prevent more than 10,00 metric tonnes of carbon emissions—the equivalent of taking 2,708 cars off the road for a year.

T3 Bayside includes the current building under construction, along with a future mirror image building. The twin buildings will offer creative office space, curated retail and communal tenant areas. When completed, the complex will create a continuously activated ground level, with abundant retail opportunities on all sides. Between both buildings, a new central plaza will establish a gateway into the neighborhood, surrounded by additional community and shared spaces, including exhibition and gallery spaces, flexible office space, and co-working facilities.
