After a groundswell of support from architects, housing advocates and developers to name a few, and after extensive public consultation, Toronto City Council adopted Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments to permit laneway housing within the former City of Toronto and East York in June 2018. The permissions were expanded to the entire city in July 2019. Join ULI and our panel of experts to learn the ins and outs of policy, design and construction of laneway houses in Toronto.
