TSA Technical Series: Supporting the Success of Your EDI Committee
12:00 - 1:00 PM
Online via Zoom
How can employee-led EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) committees be formed, supported, and led to achieve their objectives?
In the last few years, there has been an increase in employee committees that aim to support equity, diversity, and inclusion in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. There is a real commitment to change, but how exactly do we translate these great intentions into tangible actions within our workplaces and industry?
This one hour virtual presentation, led by Russell Pollard of Framework Leadership, aims to equip members of these committees with information, approaches, and ideas to do just this. Concepts of equity and inclusion, personal leadership, and change management will be reflected, with the aim of supporting the efforts of EDI committees.
After this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Identify characteristics that support the success of EDI committees and their initiatives.
- Describe personal leadership attributes that support committee objectives, both within the committee itself and the broader employer organization.
- Describe considerations for change management that impact committee planning and initiatives.
The presentation will be followed by a brief Q&A session.
