TEDI,who?!?! A webinar making sense of the Toronto Green Standard performance targets and their impact on building enclosure design.
The Toronto Green Standard (Version 3), Toronto’s sustainable design requirements for new private and city-owned developments, has introduced a four-tiered framework for development to achieve near-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Central to this framework are three key performance metrics and targets – Thermal Energy Demand Intensity (TEDI), Energy Use Intensity (EUI), and Greenhouse Gas Intensity (GHGI) – which become increasingly stringent as we move up to the top tier (Tier 4) over the next 10 years. Since these targets reflect the overall performance of the whole building, the specific impact on the building enclosure is not immediately obvious.
Join us for this 1 hour webinar as we discuss the building envelope thermal performance in the context of the TGS (V3) whole building targets (TEDI, EUI, and GHGI). The presentation will go over key definitions and concepts and provide some examples of typical assemblies that reflect this level of performance.
