Fibre Cement facades have been around for decades. They have traditionally been made of flat panels, requiring fabrication, and have a limited number of colours and finishes, mostly from Europe. The Japanese have take it a step further; a system that makes install simpler, fabrication minimized, and colour and finish choices expanded. While offering more choice, they do come in one form factor and one system, optimizing manufacturing and cost. Add traditional Japanese quality, combustibility performance, warranty, UV performance and these kinds of systems offer significant benefits. The session will discuss design through construction of these kinds of systems.
