SMPS | Sector Spotlight: Healthcare – Pre-Positioning through Process and Community
6:00 - 8:00 PM
Online via Zoom
The A/E/C industry needs to think beyond the strict confines of healthcare design when tackling the issue of healthy designs. Today, there is an ever-increasing trend to consider a facility’s impact on the larger community. No longer is addressing the needs of patients and staff enough. The pandemic has taught us that it is equally important to create environments for physicians, nurses, and staff that promote a healthy work environment that minimizes stressful work conditions. Clients are also demanding design teams to create facilities that are representative of the communities they serve.
Beyond COVID, what are the pressing issues that healthcare organizations are facing, and how can marketing and business development professionals address these concerns? Our presenters will discuss current and future trends in the healthcare sector that will improve your firm’s ability to be more successful in securing future healthcare projects and to lead through better design. We will explore the broader implications of designing for patients, frontline workers, community stakeholders and the importance of a design team’s ability to understand the broader impact of creating healthy environments.
This session will also address how firms can positively impact the broader community through a holistic design process that encompasses physical and mental health considerations. This process will serve your clients today and in a post-COVID world. Greater acknowledgment of your end user’s needs will positively impact how your internal teams work more inclusively and empathetically with each other, yielding even greater value to your client. Most importantly, this expanded awareness and sensitivity when addressing healthcare projects should become an integral part of your business development strategy to make your firm more competitive through better leadership.
