RESCHEDULED: Path to Licensure: A talk w/ the Canadian Architectural Certification Board

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Toronto Central YMCA Centre
20 Grosvenor St

Registration Opens March 12!

NOTE: Due to weather conditions preventing our speakers from arriving to Toronto, our Talk with the CACB originally scheduled for February 12 was cancelled. We’ve now rescheduled for March 21 with a new venue: the Toronto Central YMCA!

Did you know that in Canada the title “architect” is a protected title? This means only those who are licensed members of their provincial association of architects can call themselves an architect. The licensure process is there to uphold the highest professional standards in the practice of architecture, ensuring only those qualified to practice can call themselves architects … but how exactly do you become licensed?

Join us for this special TSA talk with the Canadian Architectural Certification Board and learn about the different paths to architectural licensure in Canada – from Academic Certification to the Broadly Experienced Foreign Architects Program! We’ll cover all those burning questions you’ve had (and probably a few you haven’t even thought about!) including eligibility criteria, application requirements and the benefits and challenges of the different paths.

So if you’re an internationally trained professional looking to continue your career in Canada, don’t miss out on this opportunity to get to know the in and outs of the architectural licensure process and see how you can become an architect in Canada!

  • Carolina Celis, CACB Program Coordinator, Academic Certification program
