Canada Green Building Council: Toronto Chapter | Mindful Materials: An Industry Commitment to Material Health
7:30 AM Sign -In Begins, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM Event
Steelcase WorkLife Centre
200 King St W #2400
Every architect, designer and contractor looking for healthy, sustainable materials knows how challenging it can be. Finding products with the right documentation for LEEDv4.1 or WELL, assessing embodied emissions for Zero Carbon Building projects, or just maintaining a material library in a rapidly changing environment all present significant investments in time and resources.
Similarly, industry is evolving to meet demands for both better materials and increased transparency expectations for the disclosure of material and ingredient information in products. Manufacturers have invested in programs like C2C, HPD, EPD and Declare so that you know more about the materials that you specify.
The mindful Materials platform is creating a market movement that will simplify the material health and product transparency specifications for the A&D community.
This event will show how the mindful Materials database is driving industry transformation by providing tools for A&D and supporting the improvements made to the BPDO credits in LEED Beta v4.1.
Learn how the mindful Materials platform is building a community between architects, designers, contractors, manufacturers and owners so that we can all design with intent for the health of our people and our planet.
