Heritage Toronto’s first plaque district, Dundas + Carlaw was once the site of international companies that employed thousands of workers in Toronto’s east end. Today, the neighbourhood is a thriving residential and cultural hub known for the adaptive reuse of its factories.

Cost & Registration

Free to attend, pre-registration required.

Virtual tours are held via Zoom, are led in real-time by a tour guide, and last approximately 90 minutes.

Registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the online event.

About your tour guide: Chris Bateman is the Plaques Manager at Heritage Toronto and a freelance writer who specializes in Toronto’s history. He co-developed the Dundas + Carlaw: Made in Toronto plaques and digital tour.
