Have you ever seen an invitation from the City to answer a survey, participated in a public meeting, joined a committee or helped shape City decisions in other ways? These are all forms of public engagement that help the City develop its policies, programs and services.

The City is reviewing its public engagement activities to support more meaningful and inclusive participation for all Torontonians. The City is particularly interested in making engagement more accessible for Indigenous, Black and equity-deserving communities, to advance commitments to equity, confronting anti-Black racism and Indigenous reconciliation.

The City would like to hear from people who have previously participated in public engagement activities and also from those who have NOT participated in its public engagements to learn why, what barriers may have prevented participation and what the City could do to support their participation in the future.
