Nathan Flach
An architect, urban designer, and graduate of both the Haskayne School of Business and the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary, Nathan brings over ten years of experience in the development of design solutions for projects of various scales. His architectural, urban design, and planning expertise focuses on effectively communicating the connections between design and the goals of stakeholder groups and the public. He maintains a keen interest in socially, economically, and ecologically responsible urban design and development.
Nathan’s recent experience includes team leadership and trans-disciplinary collaboration in comprehensive urban design planning, institutional and educational campus planning and design, policy review and development, architectural design, visualization, community and stakeholder engagement and education, project management, and coordination of municipal approvals processes for buildings, communities, institutions, waterfronts, and urban areas. Through a process based on contextual suitability, durability, discovery, and rootedness, Nathan’s work strives toward a goal of holistic sustainability.
