Wood WORKS!: Ontario Mid-Rise Essentials
8:45 AM - 3:30 PM
June 26: Mississauga
June 27: Ajax
June 28: Vaughan
Since updates to the Ontario Building Code in 2015, mid-rise wood buildings are being constructed all over the province. To date over 125 mid-rise projects are either in planning, under construction, or built and occupied. Mid-rise wood buildings are a strategic development tool that can help municipalities achieve density targets and deliver affordable housing stock that meets a variety of needs. Demand for these buildings is growing at a rapid pace.
To help you increase your capacity to successfully deliver mid-rise projects, Wood WORKS! approached Ontario-based professionals who are building these structures and we asked them to share what they’ve learned. Don’t miss this rare and valuable opportunity to listen to an architect, a structural engineer, and a developer, all with mid-rise experience in the Ontario market. From them you’ll learn what works, what doesn’t, and what they think can be done better.
We’re pleased to offer this 1-day program in three locations. The registration fee for this event is $250 +HST and includes lunch. All participants will receive a personalized continuing education certificate for 6 structured learning hours.
