Building Tour | 80 Atlantic
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
80 Atlantic Avenue
On our third building tour of the summer, TSA members are invited to come explore Quandrangle’s 80 Atlantic, currently under construction.
All attendees for this event will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including certified steel-toe footwear, hard hats, and reflective vests. No attendee will be admitted without the proper attire.
Toronto’s first mass timber commercial building in over a hundred years, 80 Atlantic reinvents the brick and beam typology for the 21st century. The new 90,000-square-foot, five-storey building completes a courtyard with 60 Atlantic, a 2012 adaptive reuse project also commissioned by Hullmark and designed by Quadrangle. 80 Atlantic fits in with the neighbourhood’s wealth of converted factories and warehouses and attracts a high caliber of creative class tenants with its unique workplace environment. Using engineered timber and lightweight porcelain cladding, the project features exposed, celebrated structure combined with state-of-the art systems. 80 Atlantic is a typology that is sustainable, aesthetically striking and cost-effective.
